Ever feel like you're failing at documenting your family’s life because there isn't enough time in a day? Same. Especially this time of year during the holidays!
Between school drop-offs, household chores, work, and just trying to drink your coffee while it’s still warm, who has time to think about documenting your day? Not me, and not you either. Am I right?
But here’s the good news—you don’t need a lot of time (or even a fancy memory book) to preserve your family’s best moments. With a few simple, stress-free methods, you can capture your family’s story in just minutes a day, because trust me, that's all I have time for too!
The Bedtime Routine

The Monthly Photo Dump Method
Apps like Google Photos & Tinybeans store and organize your pictures for you.
Memory Apps that Create Tangible Memories
For this I prefer the Chatbooks app. It is super easy to use and I love all of the cover options they offer! This is a monthly subscription that will encourage you to get your favorite photos from each month off of your phone and printed in one of these beautiful little books. I can't tell you how much my kids enjoy looking through these and bonus, they look so pretty on a bookshelf!
I was so good at documenting my first child and making her baby book, but when #2 came along she was 3 years old before I finally forced myself to finish hers!
Bottom line is I am so glad I made these books and jot down my memories from time to time. My kids each love to look through them and I know it is something special that they'll always be grateful to have.
One day, you’ll look back and realize the little moments were actually the big ones. With just a few minutes a day, you can create a beautiful, effortless record of your family’s life—one that won’t collect digital dust on your phone or worse, be deleted when you realize iCloud isn't backing up. Trust me, I learned this the hard way. 😭
So pick one method and start today because years from now, when you’re flipping through those albums or re-reading those tiny but priceless memories, you’ll be so glad you did.
